Officially Released! ‘Tolong Saya! Dowajuseyo’ Gala Premiere

JAKARTA – Production house Heart Pictures successfully held the Gala Premiere for their latest film, Tolong Saya! (Dowajuseyo), in Kuningan, South Jakarta. Blending psychological horror and romance between Indonesia and South Korea, the film received a roaring response and a standing ovation from attending critics and celebrities.

Short Synopsis & Cross-Border Collaboration
The film follows Tania (Saskia Chadwick), an Indonesian university student in South Korea who becomes trapped in a mysterious terror caused by a restless spirit named Min Yong (Kim Seoyoung). The plot thickens with the presence of Dr. Park Min Jae (Kim Geba) and Dion (Cinta Brian), a man from Tania’s past who harbors a dark secret.

Challenges of Shooting in South Korea
During the press conference, the cast opened up about their intense struggles while filming on location in South Korea. Saskia Chadwick and Cinta Brian admitted they had to step way out of their comfort zones to master dialogues in Korean and English. On top of the language barrier, the entire crew had to battle extreme cold weather on set. Saskia also showed ultimate dedication by undergoing intensive training to pull off a realistic and bone-chilling possession scene.

More Than Just a Horror Film
Behind its gripping atmosphere, directors Nur Muhammad Taufik and Sjahfasyat Bianca infused the story with a deep moral message. The film tackles strong social issues regarding women's courage and resilience in facing societal pressures.
Herty Purba, Executive Producer of Heart Pictures, is optimistic that this powerful combination of horror elements and a unique two-nation backdrop will bring a breath of fresh air to domestic moviegoers.

Tolong Saya! (Dowajuseyo) is ready to shake all Indonesian cinemas starting January 29. ***
