Promotional Tour and Premiere Screening of the Film "Tolong Saya! Dowajuseyo" Officially Continues to Medan
MEDAN - January 24, 2026 The city of Medan has become one of the destinations for the promotional tour of the latest horror film produced by Heart Pictures, Tolong Saya! (Dowajuseyo). On Saturday (1/24/2026), two agendas were held simultaneously: a Meet and Greet at Plaza Medan Fair and a Premiere Screening at Cinepolis Plaza Medan Fair.
Meet & Greet with the Cast
The atmosphere at Plaza Medan Fair was lively with the presence of the three lead actors Saskia Chadwick, Kim Geba, and Dito Darmawan who were enthusiastically welcomed by fans. During the session, Dito emphasized the film's social message.
"We raise the issue of sexual violence against women in the film Tolong Saya!, considering that these cases have been on the rise lately," he stated.
Saskia Chadwick added that the story is highly relevant to young people. "This film will be very relatable for college students who dream of studying abroad or moving away from their hometowns," she said. Meanwhile, Kim Geba, a South Korean actor who has lived in Indonesia for 23 years, marks his big-screen debut in the Indonesian film industry with this project.
Proudly Incorporating Simalungun Culture
The unique feature of this film also became a major highlight in Medan. Executive Producer Herty Paulina Purba expressed her pride in successfully incorporating a Batak Simalungun tradition specifically the Ayam Dayok Nabinatur ritual, which is performed when sending a child to move or study abroad into the storyline, portrayed by Debby Sahertian.
"This is a point of pride for us as filmmakers, to be able to incorporate elements of Indonesian culture into the film," she explained.
Premiere Screening and Special Performance
The event series became even more festive with a special performance by Yun Jian, the South Korean singer who performs the film's soundtrack, before concluding with the Premiere Screening at Cinepolis Plaza Medan Fair. Guests were the first in Medan to watch the film on the big screen, ahead of its national release on January 29, 2026.
